The short version: we only use your details to build and run your website. We don't sell them, we don't spam you, and there's no tracking on this site. Ask us anytime to see or delete what we hold.

Who we are

Adam Lord, a sole trader trading as Lord Knows, of Espace North Business Centre, 181 Wisbech Road, Littleport, Ely, Cambridgeshire CB6 1RA, runs this site and the "Make it yours" form. We're the data controller for the details described here. Contact: enquiries@lordknows.co.uk · 01353 789 790.

What we collect, and why

Your form answers — name, business details, phone, email, prices, reviews and similar — so we can build your draft website and contact you about it. When you press "Send", these are delivered to our inbox by a form service, FormSubmit, which passes the message to us and doesn't use it for anything else. Lawful basis: taking steps to enter a contract with you.
Photos you upload or email (dogs, your salon, you) — to use on your website, with your confirmation that owners are happy.
Payment details — collected and held by GoCardless, our Direct Debit provider. We never see your bank details; we see your plan status.

Where it lives

Your answers reach us by email (via FormSubmit) and are stored in our email account; photos and logos are stored in our Dropbox; live websites are hosted with our UK hosting provider. We share your details with no one else, and we never sell them.

How long we keep it

If you become a client: for as long as you're with us, plus up to 6 years for accounting records (a legal requirement). If you enquire but don't go ahead: we delete your answers and photos within 6 months.

Cookies & tracking

There aren't any tracking cookies or analytics on this site. The form saves your answers in your own browser (localStorage) so you don't lose them — that data stays on your device until you choose to send it to us.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it — just email us and we'll sort it quickly. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
